Stanley FatMax® Xtreme Box Beam Spirit Level with 3 vials

Stanley FatMax® durable box beam construction spirit levels are used for precision levelling measurement in a number of different jobs.

The sturdy aluminium body ensures this handheld level is easy to use and is a simple way to maintain accuracy on the job. The vials have been magnified for better visibility. This hand tool features a box beam construction which is stronger than other spirit levels. These spirit levels are ideal for use by carpenters, bricklayers and general worksite applications.

Spirit levels use a liquid filled vial with an air bubble inside to indicate how level or perpendicular a surface. Guides on the vial indicate when the bubble is centred showing the user that it is level.

Why so some spirit levels have more than one vial?

This level has three vials, this system means that the one vial is used on horizontal level work and the two at either end are for vertical levelling work.

Cross Test Spirit Levels are the ideal choice when levelling is required in both directions simultaneously. Eliminates the need to move the level around the workpiece.

Levels manufactured from fine iron castings with a involute ‘V’ groove between the bearing flats for accurate seating on round work. Ground glass main and cross test vials. The 310mm version in addition has a plumb vial fitted.,The main vial is adjustable to positive setting and marked with graduations, 2.5mm apart, to BS3509 sensitivity. A bubble movement of 2.5mm (1 graduation) indicates a tilt from the horizontal of 0.12mm per 300mm.
