Metrix GX Series function generators are versatile, high-performance instruments for education, scientific research and electronic product design. They can be used to generate a variety of signals including waveforms, sine, triangle, square & LOGIC and TTL output. Metrix GX uses Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology which greatly enhances frequency accuracy and stability. Alternating standard form wave generator models 5MHz, GX 305 ( 879-3823 ) and 10MHz, GX 310 ( 879-3826 ) are designed for education & training, R&D and test & production. Model 20MHz, GX 320 ( 879-3839 ) has additional functions including: internal and external AM & FM modulation, GATE, BURST, FSK and PSK; adjustable phase synchronisation of several generators in a cascade arrangement; storage of 15 complete instrument configurations. Models 10MHz GX 310-P ( 879-3820 ) and 20MHz GX 320-E ( 879-3832 ) are fully-programmable, with SCPI standard USB link (USB cable supplied). GX 320-E also has an Ethernet link (Ethernet cable supplied).

The Aim-TTi TG1006 function generator has been developed from the Aim-TTi TG300 & TG550 series analog function generators. Unlike those earlier models, the TG1006 uses Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) frequency generation for greater accuracy, increased stability, wider frequency range coverage and excellent frequency agility. DDS generates waveforms using a phase accumulator, look-up table and DAC. The accuracy and stability of the resulting waveforms are related to those of the crystal master clock.

RS PRO AFG-21225 True Dual Channel Arbitrary Waveform Function Generator

RS PRO AFG-21225 is a base-level dual-channel arbitrary function generator which offers superior functions in its class. The two channels are similarly equipped in order to to accommodate dual-signal applications such as differential signalling or IQ modulation. They can be used in either independent or correlated (Couple, Tracking, Phase) configuration. There are four ways the AFG-21225 can generate customised arbitrary waveforms: editing waveform via PC software; point-by-point editing on the panel; loading CSV file; loading captured waveform from RS Pro IDS Series oscilloscopes. The AFG-21225 has a 3.5 inch LCD which displays the operation information, including the true waveform presented at the output. User friendliness and outstanding cost-performance make the AFG-21225 an instrument of choice not only for practical considerations but also for capabilities which can accelerate the development process.

Keysight 33500B Series Waveform Generators

Keysight 33500B Series waveform generators incorporate Trueform signal-generation technology, which combines the best of direct digital synthesis (DDS) and point-by-point architectures. It delivers increased performance at a price associated with DDS only. The 33500B models offer lower jitter and lower harmonic distortion than alternative instruments in the same class.

The jitter performance gives users the ability to place edges more accurately, helping reduce timing errors in circuit designs. Total harmonic distortion is less than 0.04% and non-harmonic spurs are less than 75dBc. This means clean signals that do not introduce noise, giving users greater accuracy. The jitter rate, together with 8.4ns rise and fall times, enables users to set trigger points more accurately. The 16 bit resolution of the 33500B models facilitates output changes down to 1uV, providing users with the ability to test low-voltage circuits and designs.
