Firehawk FHB10W series battery operated Optical smoke alarms have a 10-year life complete with TSE Thermal Stability Enhancement including Wireless Interlink. The high performing wireless interlink alarm is used and recommended by the UK Fire and Rescue Services. The alarm is specially designed for easy installation and have the same quality as FHB10 smoke alarms. In addition, the alarm features a silence button, audible low battery warning plus, an end of alarm life indicator. The FHB10W series is compatible for use with the FH700HIA sensory alarm system.

Mains Powered Interconnectable

All new properties are required by the Building Regulations to have installed mains powered smoke alarms. Refurbished properties and small commercial premises may also be required to install mains operated alarms.
BS5839:Pt.6:1995 acknowledges that all three types of detection i.e. ionisation, optical and heat detection, need to be considered depending on the installation circumstances. It is also recommended that some form of back-up is used in the event of mains failure.
Optical alarms are recommended for use in circulation spaces such as landings and hallways. Ionisation alarms are more appropriate for use in living rooms and fixed temperature heat alarms are designed for use in kitchens and garages. All alarms must be interconnected using 3 core and earth cable.

At least one alarm on each floor of the house
Max. 7.5m between alarms and no more than 3m from bedroom doors
Alarms can be wired off lighting circuits if the alarm has its own backup supply
Locate as close as possible to centre of ceiling, away from light fitting
Alarms must be kept clean at all times and particularly whilst building work or decoration is in progress

Firehawk mains powered FH500R relay base is designed to replace the baseplate supplied with 250 and 450 ranges of mains powered smoke and heat alarms. The new Fast-Fix design ensures the wiring of fixing of the baseplate is quick and easy plus the Push Fit wiring connection is quick and secure. Interchangeability is easy as smoke and heat alarms share the baseplate. The FH500R relay base allows connected alarms to activate door releases, remote sounders, flashing beacons, central warning panels and call systems.

Firehawk FH250 series smoke alarms are part of the Fast-Fix optical smoke alarms that have the X-Profile photoelectric chamber. Included is the TSE technology (thermal stability enhancement) designed to reduce nuisance alarms still maximising smoke and fire detection. The smoke alarm has a battery backup and the operating voltage is 230 V ac. An extra-large alarm test button, alarm silence button and low battery warning are among the features of this detector. The green LED indicates the power of the detector and the constant flashing red Led indicates the alarms condition. You can link the detector with up to 14 other FH250 smoke or FH540 heat alarms. Push Fit wiring connections and the Fast-Fix design makes fixing and connecting the alarm easy, fast and secure.
