RS PRO 1.75mm Wood 3D Printer Filament, 500g

Product image for RS TROPICAL WOOD 1.75MM FILAMENT 500G

RS 3D Printer Filament WOOD

WOOD is a modified PLA based type of filament, that smells and feels like wood. The filament is a bit brittle, but tough enough to be supplied in reels of 300 gram to 1kg. It prints easy, but we advise a slightly bigger nozzle to avoid blocking. Due to a low shrinkage factor WOOD will not deform after cooling. Poly Lactic Acid is a biodegradable plastic made from renewable natural resources and one of the most popular materials for 3D printing

Note

Due to its low tendency to warp WOOD can also be printed without a heated bed. If you have a heated bed the recommended temperature is ± 35-60゚C.
WOOD can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers.
We advise a nozzle > 0,4mm
Storage: Cool and dry (15-25゚C) and away from UV light. This enhances the shelf life significantly

Feels and smells like WOOD
Easy to print at low temperature
Very low warping
Biodegradable
Preferably printed with > 0.4mm nozzle

Once you’ve purchased your filament it’s important to store it correctly to maintain its quality. Over time the plastic will absorb moisture from the air, creating small water bubbles in the filament. These bubbles when heated in the extruder nozzle will quickly reach boiling point, spoiling the print. The use of desiccant dehumidifiers to absorb the moisture is highly recommend

RS PRO 2.85mm Green M-ABS 3D Printer Filament, 500g

RS 3D Printer Filament ABS Pro

ABS Pro is a transparent ABS filament, so strong, durable and impact resistant. Due to the low percentage of butadiene in M-ABS this filament smells much less unpleasant than ABS, and, moreover, also shows less warping.
The ABS Pro polymer is inherently less impact resistant than ABS, but slightly modified our ABS Pro filament is still approx. 3 times more impact resistant than any regular PLA in the market. The transparency of the polymer makes it also possible to manufacture deep opaque colours, if desired

Note

ABS Pro can be used on all common desktop FDM technology or FFF 3D printers

Transparent, translucent
Not the unpleasant smell of ABS
High impact ABS Pro
Good chemical resistance
Less warping than ABS

Once you’ve purchased your filament it’s important to store it correctly to maintain its quality. Over time the plastic will absorb moisture from the air, creating small water bubbles in the filament. These bubbles when heated in the extruder nozzle will quickly reach boiling point, spoiling the print. The use of desiccant dehumidifiers to absorb the moisture is highly recommend
